Redesign of website and enhanced functionality to make electronic document exchange even easier for trading partners

SAN DIEGO, CA -FurnishNet, the industry leader in electronic document exchange, today announced that it has released new functionality that makes it easier for retailers and manufacturers to transmit core business documents. Implemented within a newly designed user interface (UI), the updated site offers trading partners quicker response times, immediate access to data, and greater operational efficiency.

"We have redesigned our website not only to give it a cleaner look and feel, but to also provide retailers and manufacturers with enhanced functionality that will further simplify electronic document exchange," said Ron Sellers, FurnishNet's Vice President of Sales. "These improvements will have an immediate, positive effect by providing our trading partners with the tools they need to save time and streamline their supply chain."

Included in this new release are directional emails that send email alerts directly to the appropriate department and individual within the organization (e.g., purchase order alerts to merchandising and advance ship notice alerts to receiving), resulting in shortened document delivery cycles. FurnishNet has also introduced automated document management, which allows such items as paid invoices and closed POs to be stored, searched for, and retrieved electronically to more quickly meet demands for information. Improved functionality and on-screen organization presents more data at a glance, which allows users to process information faster and more efficiently.

FurnishNet's solution for Transaction Management speeds the accurate transmission of purchase orders, purchase order acknowledgements, advance ship notices, and invoices. By integrating e-mail, web applications, electronic data interchange (EDI), XML, and faxed-based processes into a unique "Any-to-Any" exchange, FurnishNet is able to translate the information into the appropriate format for the immediate electronic flow of information between business partners of any size, running on any corporate system.
